Head Over Heels has been a Matinee favourite for some time now, with it’s uplifting Broadway cast recording never far from our playlist, and now the iconic musical comedy is reimagined in it’s European premiere at Hope Mill Theatre!
From the visionaries that rocked Broadway with Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Avenue Q and Spring Awakening, This laugh-out-loud love story is set to the music of the iconic 1980’s all-female rock band The Go-Go’s. It follows the escapades of a royal family on an outrageous journey to save their beloved kingdom from extinction—only to discover the key to their realm’s survival lies within each of their own hearts.
Head Over Heels is based on ‘The Arcadia’ by Sir Philip Sidney, with the Book by Jeff Whitty and adapted for this production by James Magruder.
Head Over Heels stars Luke Bayer as Musidorus, Iz Hesketh as Pythio, Jenny O’Leary as Pamela, Daniel Page as Dametas, Maiya Quansah Breed as Philoclea, Khadija Sallet as Mopsa, Julie Stark as Gynecia and Fed Zanni as Basilius.
