Sony Music Masterworks has announced the release of the Original London Cast Recording of ‘The Great British Bake Off Musical’, scheduled for release on 28^th April 2023 via Masterworks Broadway.  The recording features an original score by the multi-award-winning duo of Jake Brunger (book and lyrics) and Pippa Cleary (music and lyrics), critically acclaimed by ‘The Stage’ as “one of musical theatre’s most dynamic writing partnerships”.  The show transfers to the West End for a limited twelve-week run from 25 February to 13 May 2023, opening at the Noël Coward Theatre, following a triumphant run at Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham.

The highly anticipated album includes recordings by award-winning West End and Broadway star John Owen Jones [Les Misèrables, The Phantom of the Opera], four-time Olivier Award-nominee and BAFTA-nominee Haydn Gwynne [Anything Goes, Billy Elliot the Musical, TV: The Crown, The Windsors], former Pop Idol contestant turned West End singing sensation Zoe Birkett [Moulin Rouge! The Musical, The Bodyguard] and many more musical theatre superstars.

To coincide with today’s announcement, Masterworks Broadway is releasing the hit single ‘Obviously’, showcasing the extraordinary vocal range and ability of Grace Mouat [Original Cast of Six The Musical, Cinderella, Legally Blonde].  This will followed by fan favourites ‘Somewhere In The Dough’ and the heart wrenchingly beautiful ballad ‘My Dad’ performed by Maisy Mein [Les Miserables] and Damian Humbley [Merrily We Roll Along, Hedda Gabler].
